The Animated Series' Showrunner Has Seen Your Season 2 Bingo Cards — And She Has Positive Updates

The highly-awaited second season of the musical adult cartoon Hazbin Hotel debuts on Prime Video soon, and audience theories has been intense.

Season 1 presents a diverse group of personalities living within Hell and Heaven, sets them at odds accompanied by musical numbers about their clashes, and establishes heated competitions and emotional bonds that fuel audience devotion.

The fandom's stated hopes for the new season differ greatly, but certain themes emerge over and over: Could Angel Dust escape his tormentor? Might we learn more about the mysterious "deal" constraining Alastor the Radio Demon? Might certain characters' relationships evolve?

"Obviously, I don't make the show with audience demands specifically in mind," the showrunner commented recently. "However I feel like me being a devotee of the series means there's a lot of it just naturally. I also am eager for these things, and I hope some of these things to occur, and obviously some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

She says her big-picture plan is for a five-season run of Hazbin Hotel. Future installments have already been green-lit by the production companies, which finance the series.

That could imply viewers have to be patient for some of the biggest payoffs — but they may be surprised at how fast season 2 moves, and how many of what they're waiting for unfolds now.

"I feel like people are going to be highly satisfied," she adds. "There are several debut moments. I think we get some incredible reveals, some really cool backstories, and even just simple things, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] Audiences will experience much more singing from the previously silent cast members."

She's certainly aware of the guesses and hopes about the upcoming season — especially in the form of fan bingo cards.

"I've come across a few fans create a prediction grid about season 2," she mentions. "Obviously I can't post it, but I've actually done a few items, and almost all of them have almost a bingo. I thought, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that makes me think we accomplish much [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I realized, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that makes me happy."

Hazbin Hotel the second season launches on the streaming service on October 29.
